Bengaluru-based customer support automation platform Verloop.io has raised $5 million as part of its Series A funding round led by Alpha Wave Incubation, per an announcement. Alpha Wave Incubation is backed by Abu Dhabi-based investment house ADQ and managed by Falcon Edge Capital.

Founded in 2015 by Gaurav Singh, Verloop.io enables businesses to automate customer support across channels. It claims to have processed over two billion queries from customers across its clients, with over 100 million unique users.
The startup also claims that its platform is now used by 5,000 brands globally including Decathlon, Cleartrip, Nykaa, Rentomojo, and Adani Capital, among others.
