Vayana has raised $20.5 million as part of its ongoing Series D funding round, Beco has secured $10 million led by Tanglin Venture Partners, Fresh Bus has bagged $10.5 million, while Fashor has raised $5 million.

Vayana raises $20.5m led by SMBC

Trade credit infrastructure platform Vayana has raised $20.5 million as part of its ongoing Series D funding round led by SMBC’s Asia Rising Fund, it announced on Tuesday.

The funding also saw participation from existing investors such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Chiratae Ventures, and Jungle Ventures, as well as family offices like Quantum State Investment Fund and Emerald Company Pvt. Ltd.

The funding proceeds will help accelerate Vayana’s commitment to providing affordable financing throughout the supply chain, with the introduction of new products aimed at enhancing its suite of trade credit, compliance, and risk management platforms, it said in a statement.

Tanglin leads $10m funding in Beco

Beco, a homegrown home, kitchen and personal care brand, on Tuesday announced that it has raised $10 million as part of its pre-Series B funding round led by Tanglin Venture Partners, with participation from Titan Capital Winners Fund.

The company also saw participation from Manish Choksi, promoter of Asian paints, existing investor Rukam Capital, and Synergy Capital.

The fund infusion would be put towards innovation and expanding production capacity; developing a strong offline sales infrastructure in key geographies, and lastly, towards brand building and enhancing brand awareness, Beco said in a statement.

Maniv leads funding in Fresh Bus

Inter-state electric bus service provider Fresh Bus has raised $10.5 million (Rs 87.5 crore) in its Series A funding round.

The funding was led by early-stage transportation-focused VC fund Maniv and saw participation from Shell Ventures, Alteria Capital, and existing investor Riverwalk Holdings, per a company statement.

The funds raised will be deployed on route expansion, to scale operations, enhance technological capabilities, and strengthen the team. Additionally, the start-up is looking to grow its network by adding 15 new routes and launching 150 e-buses.

Blume backs Fashor

D2C women’s apparel brand Fashor has raised $5 million in fresh funding from Blume Ventures, per a company announcement.

The funding will be used to boost FASHOR’s omnichannel growth, build brand presence, and enhance its supply chain, said the company in a statement. The company also plans to expand its retail presence and open 100 brand stores in the coming years.

Last week, FASHOR also partnered with Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan as its inaugural brand ambassador.
