SerMorpheus, an Indonesian company tapping on Web 3.0 capabilities, has raised a $2.5 million seed round led by Intudo Ventures with participation from 500 Global, FEBE Ventures, AlphaLab Capital, BRI Ventures, and Caballeros Capital.
The company, founded in January this year, aspires to become a no-code Web 3.0 platform, helping brands and creators develop NFTs (non-fungible tokens).
So far, SerMorpheus has partnered with a number of events, a football club, celebrities, and a movie production house to develop and distribute customised NFTs. According to its website, SerMorpheus currently has more than 30,000 users and has sold more than 10,000 NFTs.
The funds will be used to continue building infrastructure to bridge brands and consumers, hire talent across functions, and develop creator tools that allow users, without any technical knowledge, to mint and release NFTs, the company said in a statement.
SerMorpheus has worked to ease customers’ onboarding process by allowing them to pay in Indonesian Rupiah.
