India Digest: Seeds Fincap, Boon, Corvi LED raise funds

Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) Seeds Fincap has raised over $8.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Lok Capital and Matrix Partners India. Separately, Boon, a watertech firm focused on remote water purifying, monitoring and dispensing innovations, has raised $5 million in a Series A funding round, while Corvi LED, a lighting products design company has raised $8 million led by Enam Investments.

Lok Capital, Matrix Partners India back Seeds Fincap

Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) Seeds Fincap has raised over $8.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Lok Capital and Matrix Partners India. The funds will enable Seeds Fincap to expand its lending capabilities, enhance its technological infrastructure, and broaden its branch footprint.

Established in 2021 by Subhash Acharya and Avishek Sarkar, Seeds Fincap intends to scale its lending book, diversify into newer products, and invest in expanding its branch network.

WaterTech Startup Boon raises Series A funding

Boon, a watertech firm focused on remote water purifying, monitoring and dispensing innovations, has raised $5 million in a mix of equity and debt. The Series A funding round was led by Spanish Roca Group Ventures, Roca Group’s venture fund.

The funding marks Roca’s first-ever investment in a startup in India. Roca also acquired Parryware in India in 2008.

Co-founded by IIT Kanpur alumna Vibha Tripathi and PennState alumnus Advait Kumar in 2015, Boon uses its patented technologies as predictive filter maintenance using AI to ensure high efficiency and reliability of water purification systems.

Corvi LED raises $8m led by Enam Investments

Corvi LED, a lighting products design company has raised $8 million in a round led by Enam Investments.

The capital infusion will allow Corvi LED to expand into new geographies with a more robust distribution network, diversify its product portfolio, and further enhance its technological capabilities, the firm said.

The company holds over 100 patents and registrations and has exported to 24 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Corvi LED is also set to introduce new LED products to meet the demand for ergonomic design and aesthetics.
