SE Asian insurtech startup PasarPolis on Friday announced a major expansion of its strategic partnership with Gojek, part of the GoTo Group. The partnership will make available seamless and affordable insurance solutions directly into everyday services like mobility, delivery, and logistics.

PasarPolis will, through its subsidiary Pasarpolis Insurance Broker, provide a range of insurance products, including SafeTrip, which offers protection for users travelling with Gojek’s mobility services. Other offerings include package delivery insurance for GoSend, large-scale goods delivery insurance for GoBox, and B2B2C delivery service insurance for GoKilat.

These services are supported by Tap Insure, which acts as the underwriter.

Both companies have been in a partnership since 2018 after PasarPolis secured a Series A round from Gojek, Tokopedia and Traveloka.

BYD launches Denza in Singapore

Chinese EV maker BYD has launched its luxury brand Denza in Singapore, marking the brand’s entry outside Hong Kong across major Asia-Pacific markets.

BYD Auto’s general manager for Asia-Pacific sales Liu Xueliang said Denza would be introduced in several other markets in the coming months. Thailand is next on the list, with a launch expected later this year. In 2025, the brand aims to expand into Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand, although specific dates have not been announced.

He added that the company has set up an assembly plant in Thailand, and more facilities are being planned in Indonesia and other regional markets. “For each market, we will bring new technology and new models based on local demand,” he was quoted as saying in The Business Times.
