SG healthtech startup MiyaHealth raises $1.8m and other SE Asia deals

MiyaHealth, a SaaS healthtech startup headquartered in Singapore, has announced raising S$2.4 million (about $1.8 million) in its extended pre-Series A funding round.

The extended round, which was backed by impact investor Fondation Botnar and existing investors ST Engineering Ventures, Elev8, and HealthXCapital, brings the startup’s total pre-Series A funding to S$10.4 million.

Founded in 2019, MiyaHealth builds and operates digital infrastructure that powers healthcare. It offers three product suites—MiyaPayor, MiyaPatient, and MiyaProvider.

The healthtech startup said it will use the fresh funding to support its global expansion across Europe and Southeast Asia, starting with Poland, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

MiyaHealth also announced the appointment of Kevin Yeap as its head of Commercial and Customer Success to support its growing footprint.

SG gaming platform Komet Games secures $1m

Komet Games, a Singapore-based mobile games platform, has announced raising $1 million in a pre-seed funding round from European venture capital firm Picus Capital and influential creators-focused investor Creative Collective Capital.

Komet Games is building a casual games platform that combines puzzles, battles, and other hyper-casual games in one platform through the help of AI technology. The mobile games are suitable for all ages, according to the announcement.

Komet said it has attracted more than 100,000 gamers with an average of 40 minutes of playtime daily since its soft launch in May. It will use the fresh funds to recruit gaming talent, expand its content, and further develop AI tools to scale the business.

Aside from focusing on the Southeast Asia market, Komet said it is looking to gain further traction in other emerging markets such as Latin America and the Middle East, where it had already gained initial strong interest from users.
