B Capital taps Erlich to lead global AI initiatives
Singapore- and US-based venture capital firm B Capital has announced the appointment of Yan-David Erlich as general partner to lead its technology and AI investments.
Based in San Francisco, Erlich is an experienced technology investor and entrepreneur, having founded and led four venture-backed startups. His most recent role was as chief operating officer and chief revenue officer at Weights & Biases, a platform for AI developers.
He previously served as general partner at Coatue Management and founded startups including Parsable and ChoiceVendor, both of which were acquired by larger firms.
“As a former AI founder and operator, I’ve seen the impact a value-added investor like B Capital can have on a startup’s growth,” Erlich said, adding that the firm’s operational expertise and strategic partnership with BCG make it well-positioned to scale AI and technology businesses.
B Capital, which has a strategic partnership with Boston Consulting Group, aims to capitalise on the growing impact of AI and emerging technologies.
