Singapore-based B2B payments unicorn Nium has announced raising $50 million in a Series E funding round led by an undisclosed sovereign wealth fund in Southeast Asia.

The company is valued at $1.4 billion after the latest round, per a statement.

Nium’s regulatory filings in Singapore showed that the unnamed Series E investor is Brunei Investment Agency, the wealth fund of Brunei. Its $50 million investment marks a down round for Nium, according to the latter’s filings with Singapore’s Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).
