Online game streaming platform Loco has raised $9 million in a seed funding round from investors including South Korean gaming company Krafton Inc.
The round also saw the participation of gaming media fund Lumikai Ltd, Hiro Capital, Axilor Ventures, and 3one4 Capital, Bloomberg reported.
Loco will use the funds to upgrade its technology and content, the report said.
Founded by Pandita and Ashwin Suresh, Loco was acquired by digital entertainment startup Pocket Aces in 2018. As part of the latest investment, the gaming startup will be spun off from Pocket Aces.
Loco has a roster of the country’s best-known streamers playing popular games such as Clash of Clans, FreeFire and Call of Duty Mobile. It also hosts top esports teams and their tournaments, the report said.
