Vietnam largest telecom operator, state-owned Viettel Group – that currently operates in nine countries having bagged a licence recently in Myanmar – is planning an aggressive global expansion strategy, its deputy CEO, Le Dang Dung, said in an interaction. In 2015, the group reported a revenue of almost $11 billion, a 21 per cent increase over 2014. The revenue from its overseas operations touched $1.5 billion, with an average of 30 per cent annual growth in recent years. Edited Excerpts:-
