China’s securities regulator published guidance on Tuesday encouraging mergers and acquisitions among listed companies as part of efforts to promote “high-quality” growth and economic upgrade.
The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) said it encourages industry consolidation and supports corporate transformation toward advanced productivity. The watchdog also said in a statement that it will streamline the vetting process to improve restructuring efficiency.
