With around Rs 1,200 crore ($175 million) cash in its books Info Edge (India) Ltd — the parent company of Naukri.com, 99acres.com and Jeevansaathi.com – is on the lookout for more acquisitions and investments. The company already counts food listing and reservation platform Zomato, insurance policies aggregator Policybazaar and quirky products retailer Happily Unmarried in its investee portfolio of around ten. In an interview to DEALSTREETASIA, Hitesh Oberoi, Managing Director and CEO of Info Edge details the company’s investment strategy and plans for 2017. He also talks about the impact of the recent demonetisation on the Info Edge’s real estate platform 99acres and it’s plans to redraw the strategy to make profits. Edited excerpts
