The Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) is keen to collaborate with overseas institutions to widen the scope of its latest initiative called Platform E, which is aimed at training and helping entrepreneurs, incubate business ideas and accelerate go-to-market activities for entrepreneurial ventures. SIM plans to invest S$50 million ($35.2 million) to support the development of future entrepreneurs through its initiatives that help business startups to scale up as well as fund promising ventures. The initiative called Platform E is headed by CEO Alan Wong, and the education institute termed it as a “comprehensive platform that integrates all the components essential to start-up success.” In an interview with DEALSTREETASIA, Wong outlines how SIM and Platform E are aimed to help the entrpreneurial and startup ecosystem in Singapore.
