October-December 2021 was the second-best period for startup fundraising in India in the last eight quarters, behind only Q3 2021.
While startup fundraising in the country dropped about 27% sequentially to $13.7 billion in Q4, 2021 was a stellar year.
For the entire 2021, startups raked in almost $46 billion across 1,634 deals (including secondary transactions). This is an almost fourfold jump over 2020 when startups had collectively garnered $11.65 billion across 952 transactions.
