The third quarter of 2020 saw a resurgence of dealmaking in India, after a pandemic-lulled, relatively lacklustre second quarter. Across 258 deals, Indian firms raised a total of $3.14 billion in Q3, which is more than double the deal value observed in Q2. This is supported by September’s bumper rake, when deal-activity hit $1.88 billion across 92 private equity and venture capital transactions.
