Vietnam will have to privatise some 240 state-owned enterprises (SOEs) within the second half of 2015. to meet its privatisation targets. It was able to privatise, and that too partially, just 27 SOEs in the first quarter- amounting to a mere 9.3 per cent of the total number of state-owned companies that are to be privatised this fiscal, according to data complied by its Ministry of Finance.
