MakeMyTrip acquires Happay
Online travel company MakeMyTrip announced on Monday that it has signed a business transfer agreement to acquire the Happay Expense Management Platform from CRED.
The company said in a statement that this acquisition reinforces MakeMyTrip’s commitment to becoming the go-to platform for comprehensive corporate travel and expense management solutions.
Happay operates in the expense management space, with capabilities in product development, data-driven insights, and scalable solutions. Following the deal, the Happay brand, its expense management business, and its team will transition to MakeMyTrip.
“The acquisition of Happay’s brand and expense management platform is a natural next step in our strategy to lead this space. By integrating Happay’s expertise, which spans over 900 corporate clients, MakeMyTrip is set to redefine the benchmarks once again in corporate travel and expense management in India,” said MakeMyTrip co-founder and Group CEO Rajesh Magow.
Happay’s payments business and team, which has focused on developing an innovative technology stack and business payments products, will remain with CRED.
The Good Glamm Group fully buys The Moms Co.
Direct-to-consumer beauty and personal care company The Good Glamm Group on Monday said it has completed 100% acquisition of The Moms Co.
This follows the group’s completion of its Sirona transaction and increased shareholding in its other portfolio brands Organic Harvest and Winkl.
In October 2021, the Good Glamm Group acquired a majority stake in The Moms Co. through a cash and stock deal, leading to partial exits for The Moms Co. founders and full exits for investors like DSG Capital and Saama Capital. The remaining shares held by the founders were fully acquired by Good Glamm Group over the last two years.
Over the past three years, key functions of The Moms Co. have been integrated into The Good Glamm Group’s operations. The founders stepped down from day-to-day roles last year after leading the business for a year post-acquisition.
