India Digest: Nutrabay raises $5m; Vikran Engineering raises pre-IPO round 

Nutrabay, a D2C retailer of sports nutrition & wellness products, has raised $5 million led by RPSG Capital Ventures. Separately, Vikran Engineering & Exim Pvt has closed a pre-IPO funding round of Rs 100 crore ($11.91 million).

Nutrabay raises $5m led by RPSG Capital Ventures

Nutrabay, a D2C retailer of sports nutrition & wellness products, has raised $5 million in a Series A round of funding led by RPSG Capital Ventures. The round also saw participation from Kotal Alternative Asset Managers, the firm said, adding that it has raised its first-ever institutional funding round after being bootstrapped for seven years.

Founded in 2017 by three brothers—Sharad Jain, Shreyans Jain and Divay Prakash Jain—Nutrabay houses over 100 brands along with its private-label products. The private-label brands are sold across its D2C website, all major eCommerce websites and offline supplement stores.

“We have strong conviction in nutrition, health and wellness and have constantly backed companies in this category such as Plix and True Elements,” said Abhishek Goenka, Managing Partner, RPSG Capital Ventures.

Vikran Engineering raises pre-IPO round

Vikran Engineering & Exim Pvt has closed a pre-IPO funding round of Rs 100 crore ($11.91 million). The round was led by Mukul Agarwal, Negen Undiscovered Value Fund, leading Indian Family Offices, and High Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs).

Vikran is an EPC Company in value-added projects in the Power Sector (transmission lines and sub-stations), Electrification & Composite Projects, Water Infrastructure (Water Transportation and Distribution) and Railway Infrastructure.

Notably, in January 2024, India Inflection Opportunity Fund and Ashish Kacholia collectively invested Rs 85 Crores, acquiring about 11% stake in the company.

Pantomath Capital Advisors acted as the sole Investment Banker for this transaction.
