India Digest: Kreedo, DeepMatrix, Plutos ONE in funding news

Kreedo Early Childhood Solutions has raised $4 million in its Series A round; DeepMatrix has secured $1.6 million in pre-Series A funding, while Plutos ONE has raised $2 million in seed funding.

Heritas, UBS Optimus lead $4m funding in Kreedo

Learning solutions provider Kreedo Early Childhood Solutions has raised $4 million in its Series A funding round led by Singapore-based Heritas Capital and existing investor UBS Optimus Foundation, it announced on Tuesday.

The financing also saw participation from other existing investors—Gray Matters Capital, 1Crowd, The Chennai Angels, The Joka Angel Network, and others.

The funding will be used to enhance Kreedo’s product offerings and expand into new geographies in India, the startup said in a statement.

Founded in 2012 by husband-wife duo Mridula Shridhar and VK Manikandan, Kreedo’s 6T learning framework is centred on the Kreedo Activity Labs, which offers a structured environment for play-based learning. 6T includes toys, technology, theory (books), teacher training, timetable, and teamwork (peer learning). Kreedo currently caters to children in the age group of 3 to 8 years (nursery to grade 2).

Over the last two years, Kreedo claims to have seen significant growth, doubling its revenue, expanding its reach from 700 to 1700 schools/preschools, and increasing the number of children benefiting from its programmes from 55,000 to more than 1,40,000.

DeepMatrix secures $1.6m funding

DeepMatrix, a Bengaluru-based geospatial analytics startup, has raised $1.6 million in its pre-Series A funding round co-led by YourNest and Arali Ventures, with participation from angel investors including Abhishek Goyal, founder of Tracxn.

The startup will use the funds to accelerate growth, improve its product offerings in mining and asset management, and expand its presence in overseas markets such as the US and Australia.

Founded in 2022, the startup helps businesses manage all geospatial data, enabling them to cut costs, enhance safety, and optimise resource management.

“There is an increased demand in the industry, and this funding will help in developing breakthrough innovative solutions to solve customer problems. We have experienced good traction in the Indian market and are looking to work with enterprises and governments in developed markets like the US, Australia, Europe, etc,” said DeepMatrix CEO Naresh Soni.

StartupXseed leads funding in Plutos ONE

Plutos ONE, a technical service provider for the Bharat Bill Payments System (BBPS), has raised $2 million in seed funding led by StartupXseed.

The financing also saw participation from Genesia Ventures, Auxano Capital, Raghuvanshi Investments, and other investors, per a statement.

The Delhi-based company plans to deploy the funding proceeds to onboard banks as biller operating units as well as agent institutions on the BBPS network, the startup said in a statement.
