Hear speakers from UNDP, East Ventures, and Indonesia-based fishery firm Aruna on creating more impact to meet social and environmental goals

Our next webinar – ‘How venture capital is creating an inclusive and sustainable future for Southeast Asia’- is scheduled for April 20, 2022 at 1 pm JKT / 2 pm SGT.

Taking off from the launch of East Ventures – Sustainability Report 2022, the webinar will address several keenly debated hot button issues. These include whether and how private capital can move the dial on sustainability; what it will take to make this happen; some of the best practices in the space; as well as lessons learnt from missteps of the past.

For this discussion, we have a panel of experts who have spent large parts of their lives and careers at the intersection of business, private capital and sustainability. Joining Utari Octavianty, Co-Founder and Chief Sustainability Officer, Aruna; and Avina Sugiarto, Venture Partner, East Ventures is Devahuti Choudhury, SDG Impact Specialist, UNDP.

Choudhury is the SDG Impact Specialist at UNDP for Asia Pacific. She has  over 15 years of experience in operations, management consulting, research, and M&E across development themes such as digital inclusive finance, education, healthcare, and agri-finance among others. She works closely with UNDP country office teams, government stakeholders, and the private sector to build market intelligence to highlight and work with SDG enabling investment opportunities for countries in the region.

The session will be moderated by Joji Thomas Philip, Founder & Editor-in-Chief, DealStreetAsia.
