India: Dailyhunt's parent VerSe raises $805m in funding at $5b valuation

VerSe Innovation, owner of popular local language content platform Dailyhunt, on Wednesday said it has raised $805 million at a valuation of $5 billion in its latest funding round, as it looks to strengthen its AI/ML capabilities and invest in new efforts such as live streaming to compete with rivals such as ShareChat’s Moj and Glance’s Roposo.
