China Deal Monitor: Sequoia Capital backs 4D Shoetech and more updates

Footwear design software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider 4D ShoeTech has secured approximately 100 million yuan ($14 million) in a Series A+ round led by CMC Capital.

The fresh round was joined by Sequoia Capital China and returning backer Linear Venture, according to a company statement. Linear Venture along with Xiaomi’s Shunwei Capital had injected ‘millions of US dollars’ in 4D ShoeTech’s angel round in 2018.

Co-founded by Zisen Lin in Dongguan in 2017, 4D ShoeTech’s SaaS platform offers 3D design solutions for the footwear industry. It recently rolled out a new product, Ideation, to expand the business to cover luggage and bag categories.

4D ShoeTech plans to use the proceeds on computer-aided design and real-time rendering.
