Osram to invest $3.21b for growth, putting $1.07b into new factory in Malaysia

German lighting company Osram said it will commit €3 billion ($3.21 billion) by 2020 to drive growth in the company, as it transforms itself into a semiconductor company having planned the disposal of its traditional lamps and light bulbs business.
