A Japanese investor may be exploring the possibility to become a strategic shareholder in Vietnam’s flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, which made its initial public offer (IPO) last year, according to the government’s Transportation Newspaper (Bao Giao thong) which reported a meeting between the deputy minister of transport Pham Viet Thanh and Vietnam Airlines.
